- Common Fault Symptoms & Motherboard Diagnostics:

* Dead Phone (No Power / 0.00A or Low Hang): Handset shows no sign of life; on DC bench power supply, pressing power draws 0.00A or a static 0.01A–0.03A hang because the VSYS / VPH_PWR power path inside MT6371P is broken or shorted.

* Dead After Flash (Common on Redmi 6 / 6A): Board dies or fails during software flashing because degraded MT6371P fails to deliver stable power to the main PMIC and CPU during heavy write cycles.

* Charging Failures:

- Fake Charging: Lightning bolt/charging animation appears on screen, but battery percentage does not climb or decreases under use.

- Zero Current on USB Ammeter: Charger connects at 5V but draws 0.00A current.

- Thermal Alert: Phone prompts "Battery temperature too high / low" immediately upon connecting the charger.

* Display / Graphic Failure (Black Screen): Device boots up, vibrates, and receives calls, but the screen stays completely black due to missing positive/negative display bias voltages (+5V / -5V).

* Torch / Flashlight Inactive: Flashlight icon is greyed out or fails to light up due to burnt internal LED driver circuitry.

* Direct VBUS / VSYS Short: Short circuit across the charging buck coil or input filter capacitors, causing bench DC supplies or USB chargers to cut out instantly.
